India's one of the finest tennis player Somdev Devvarman unceremoniously declared retirement on 1st January 2017 through his twitter account ... Thank youcBuji, for giving us so many highs through your performances, Gold in Commonwealth and Asian games, some memorable wins in Davis cup and becoming a first top-100 singles player after Leander Paes ... Wishing you all success in your future endeavors.

Yuki toyed #110 ranked Argentine Nicolas Kicker for dominating win ... In the first set Yuki took crucial break in 8th game and then hold his serve for winning it ... In the second set Yuki broke Kicker in 1st game and then from 2-1 he won next four games for winning the match ... In that he broke Kicker in 5th and 7th games ... With this Yuki qualify for Chennai open main-draw and facing RamK, so all Indian first round match.

Prajnesh lost in straight sets against Kovalik, he had chances but failed to convert ... I think case of missed opportunities ... In the first set, Prajnesh was early break up, 3-1, but Kovalik broke back for 3-all ... After that Prajnesh missed lot of break points and in tie-break he failed to challenge Kovalik ... In the second set, Kovalik broke Prajnesh in 3rd and 5th games for winning it comfortably.

Karman scored another impressive win over 350 type Japanese opponent in straight sets and qualified for $25K Hong Kong tournament ... In both sets Karman was early break doen before fighting back ... In the first set she was 0-3 and in the second she was 0-2 trailing before winning these sets ... Karman is facing one of the lowest ranked Chinese participant Fang Ying Xun in the first round.
