Mixed day for us ... As after two great upset wins by our men, we had two disappointing losses to our women players.
Impressive straight games win by Prannoy over former WR #1 Lee Chong Wei ... He dominated this match and scored big upset win in this Premier event ... Another tough match against former WR #1 Long Chen.
Srikanth also joined him in the quarters with another impressive win against top Danish player Jan O Jorgensen in three games ... After winning the first game he lost the second game to Jan but he recovered to win the final game comfortably ... Next he is facing Taipei's Tzu Wei Wang.
Other hand disappointing loss of Saina against Jindapol, whom she dominated in her previous matches and had a 7-0 win-loss record ... Saina is still struggling to find consistency in her performance as she has been struggled to build on her win in previous matches.
And Sindhu also lost against Beiwen Zhang, whom she defeated in their previous meetings ... After winning the first game Sindhu failed to keep momentum.
